How did you connect the vessel view to two engines?
Hope the pictures help answer your question. The BT fob plugs into the port box. From there two boxes are bridged. Each engine is plugged to each box.How did you connect the vessel view to two engines?
Bob east trying to order the parts for the smartcraft. What setup diagram did you use. I have a VV moble unit already. I want to get both of my engine data to a garmin chart plotter. Thanks RichSuccess! I finally got everything hooked up and working. I still need to play around with the settings on the MFD, but will have to wait till tomorrow so as not to disturb the neighbors. I added both VesselView Mobile and the Mercruiser gateway. I did have to program the Port engine as it was having an identity crisis (programmed as Starboard from the factory). I can't wait to get the MFD dialed in.

Thank you.If you want to get the data to your MFD, you'll need a NMEA gateway. The VV Mobile, only outputs to Bluetooth.
See attached. In particular, look at page 7. basically you need a j-box, 2 pre-terminated cables (one from each engine) to the j-box. You then plug the gateway(s) into the box. I eventually went with a yacht devices gateway instead of mercruiser, but the wiring is the same. If you want to use both the NMEA gateway AND the VV mobile, you should get a six port j-box. The cable part numbers are on that page.
Also note that only one of your engines should power the j-box. On the engine end, you'll see a power bypass loop connector attached to the SmartCraft connector. You'll disconnect that on one engine only.
Finally, you'll need to run a TechMate Pro scan tool or find a mechanic who has one, to designate the port engine as "port". All engines are shipped from the factory as "starboard" engines.
VV Mobile isn't your huckleberry. Your Smartcraft data needs to be translated and put on a NMEA 2000 network which all modern displays interface. If you want to base the conversion from data on the Smartcraft network then either a Vessel View display with NMEA 2000 port or a Vessel View Link. All will require a bit of mind bending on which wire harnesses will be needed to appropriately interface with the Smartcraft network.Thank you.
