So last month i posted the question, How good do trim tabs really work? great feedback from all. Today I call Bennett to talk about which tab is correct for my boat (1991 20' SR 200 BR 48-50 WOT) the guy says I need 18x9 which is what I thought from all the charts. I then brought up the fact that my boat can run in the upper 40s, then he says maybe you want the ST12 or ST16 its up to you. Seems to me if I had already known I would not have called in the first place. The ST model adds a couple hundred bucks. So here is the question. Can anyone tell me if I need to spend the extra money or will the standard 18x9 tabs work just as good. I usually cruise around 25-30 mph

Mac, you absolutely don't need the ST's. Not that they'd hurt anything, but you'd be wasting your money.

I would agree and not think you need the ST's. Besides if your in conditions that permit running WOT and you're looking for speed then the tabs will be up anyways.
