Which Transducer ?

1990 330 EC getting new electronics and a nmea 2000 network mfd(s) will be simrad either go9 or nss9 question is; use the transom mount transducer that is usually bundled in or use a thru hull looking for accurate depth, not really much of a fisherman

I would try to find something that can use your current thru hulls. Transom mount is just extra holes on the outside, which I don't like.

I recently installed a Simrad GO 12. I went with a Airmar P79 shoot thru transducer. It seems to work well even when cruising. I really did not want to make any more holes in the bottom.

That's the setup I have and mine loses contact with the bottom just when you need it the most, 3 to 4' of water. Fine at speed and deeper water.

I have an old dedicated transducer that I will remove, so I do have an existing hole
I was thinking about a DT800/810 not sure why they cost more than the DST version
