Which portable GPS?

I would like to purchase a handheld GPS as backup for the chartplotter installed in the boat. I would like to have one preloaded with costal charts.

I've had Garmin in boats, airplanes and cars for many years but if there is something better available I'm not married to them.

Any suggestions, experiences, ideas?

I have the 5212 touchscreen on the vessel and it works fine. This past weekend I picked up the handheld Garmin Oregon, which thus far - I am impressed with.
