This is on my 2007 210 Select. I have 6 keys, (4 for floor/anchor lockers, 2 for battery switch). I've tried all 6, and
can't seem to find one that works in my glove box (glove compartment)? Are there 2 others somewhere that I don't have maybe?

I can't remember actually locking/unlocking it during our systems review this winter, and I looked thru my entire owners manual, and can't find it there either.

I have the same problem w/ my 2007 230 Select. I thought I was told to use the ski locker keys but it doesnt seem to work. Any ideas out there would greatly be appreciated.....:huh::huh::huh:

I emailed my dealer last night late, and he just got back to me first thing this morning. He's saying that the ignition/start key(in my set, it's the silver one) should lock the glove box. However, when I tried that one (silver vs the black lollipop end) it didn't fit as well as the lollipop ones did. I'll have to try it again tonite when I get home. I want to be able to use that as a lockable storage area.

My old 200 Select used the ignition key to unlock the glove box. At first it did not seem to fit well. After a few times of fighting with it it worked. The key went all the way until the rubber coating hit the latch. What I found out was that I had to have the key at an angle going in to make it work.

Figured it out!!!! Yes, it is the silver ignition key set! Put it in, with the serated teeth up, but not quite all the way, and turn it 90 degrees to the left to lock it! I was putting it in to far!

I dont have any ignition keys. I only have the perko battery switch wich has a key. My ignition switch is a toggle on the left of the wheel besides the blower toggle..

I have a 2007 but dont have an ignition key. In fact my toggle switch broke lastnight on the water. Gonna have to fix before the weekend..

I guess Ill have to call the dealer..

I don't have a true ignition switch either, it's the perko battery switch key ... (I have almost the same exact boat as you).

Thats the only key I didnt try...

Thanks Again

Also, for all others for future reference, my dealer told me, the glove box key is always the ignition(battery) key.

On your Select,, have you had any problems w/ the ignition toggle switch. Mine broke on monday. I finally went by and got a new one. Its a pain to remove and install. We had to steal one from another boat. Marine Max had none in stock and none available close by. Looks like this could be a problem down the road again....

I'm a locksmith and just saw this thread. Glad you guys figured it out. Now, Go get some spares made, before you have to ask me:

" I lost my only key, how do I get a key made"

Not yet, but I've only been out once, and only used it twice during that outing. Maybe someone else with more use can respond (foxseaLady and Mxer (and anyone else that has a select for that matter) have had a lot more time on their Select's than I have)

I hope to start addressing that situation this weekend however!:grin::smt001:smt038

I have a spare set of all my keys for the boat. I'm all set.
