One of my 6.2L Mercruiser engines is hard to start, and I have been told a new IAC will fix the problem.
I contacted my Mercruiser dealer, and he has one for about $200.
A discount marine supplier has one for about $100
Amazon has one for about $27, with free shipping, that is made in China - like the others aren't?

They all look the same. Can they all be the same? Is there any reason to buy the expensive version? I'm sure others have had to make this decision as well.

You can use an automotive one. Its the same part. The one you found is fine. I have in the past with no issues. Plus you save a ton of money.

yup - i believe it is a ford windstar van part just google automotive part number mercruiser iac and you should find it - clean the throttle body and spark arrestor and replace the iac muffler while your there
