Which 2000/2001 Sea Ray 310 do I buy?

I would say it's worth 10k more all day long. Whatever happened to the Cruisers you were looking at? In my opinion their layout is superior to the SR.
 
The question will be upon resale will the 2000 still keep you in the $10,000 savings area vs the 2001. How hard will it be to sell the 2000(od) vs 2001(vd) + interior differences.
Ultimately which one in your gut is going to be the best for you and your family? The 2000 would certainly be my 2 option but if the shape of the 2001 gives you a bad feeling then I would certainly considering walking away and continuing my search. There are hundreds of boats for sale all over the place maybe it would be prudent to give your boat search more time until you have found just the right one! JC
 
Subject to survey and sea trial I think I'd still go with the 2001. I believe that 2000 has carbs as opposed to fuel injection. That's worth something over and above the extra HP.
Correct, the 2000 has carbs.

Hey Doug, I was looking at some Cruiser Yacht 320s, 2005/2006. One did not have a genny, I thought about adding one but decided against it. One was overpriced IMHO and the seller would not move off of the asking price. And, a third one I looked at gave me a bad feeling even though it was super clean. The seller had recently replaced the risers/manifolds himself, on only one engine, which I found odd. I later found out from the broker it sold, but they almost lost an engine on sea trial due to a failing manifold.

I've looked at a 2003 3470 2 times, private seller, nice boat, they will not move off the price. Also, though a mostly fresh water boat, risers/manifolds have never been replaced and the seller has no service history for anything, he allegedly has done everything himself.

I thought you purchased a mid 90s 340 or 330? I now see you have a 3575 Cruisers. I love the cabin on those, I am not a fan of the port side seat next to the helm though, I feel like it separates the cockpit seating too much and is a wasted seat.

Gotcha. Yes, moved up to the 3575. Love the boat. Obviously not for everyone, but it sure has a ton of space for the size. Good luck with whatever you decide.

My vote also. Walk away and find two better choices. They're out there.
 
I looked at a 2000 310 today, carburated 5.7s, I think 260HP, with outdrives, 650 hours on the engines.

I also looked at a 2001 310, 350 Mag MPI Horizon 300 hp, V Drives, engines are new remans from Mercury.

Both show well. 2000 has the white cabinets, 2001 has the cherry. No real big difference between the 2 except V drives versus outdrives, carburated 5.7s versus MPI, and cherry interior versus the white.

2001 is listed $12k more than the 2000.

I am a fresh water river boater so outdrives are ok. Not sure about carburated having had those in previous boats.

Decisions, decisions...

I have a 2000 310 with 3.5 horizons and V drives. The boat needs the 300hp of the 5.7 MPIs to perform well. the carbed engines will feel under powered even with the outdrives. The v drives also handle beautifully around the dock. You can dock the boat anywhere.
