So, i just picked up a 1982 19' Sea Ray.. The inside of the boat is basically trashed, but the hull isn't too bad. The only thing the hull really needs is some small cracks and holes filled in. The fiberglass i've found numerous places to get stuff like that, but i haven't come across many places to get the right color gelcoat i'm in need of. The hull is a beige tanish color, but i cannot find any old info or brochures on these boats.. Anyone have any idea where i could pick something like this up or what the color is even called?

The problem is, it's highly doubtful anything new is going to match a 27 year old boat. For it to match exactly, it's going to have to be done custom. If the gouges are on the bottom, and you're OK with it just being an off-white color, just use Marine-Tex.

http://www.uscomposites.com/ I just purchased a quart of gelcoat and also some yellow pigment......Adding a drop of yellow to 2 ounces of gelcoat gave me a nice off white color, not perfect, but very close. You get a lot more and its much cheaper than buying a patch kit. I also purchased the surface wax so I wouldn't have to cover gelcoat to get it to cure.

Good luck!!
