Hello, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the latest Navionics Gold chip for my Raymarine c80 chartplotter? I just purchased a boat and the one in there is from 2005 on not the correct region. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
thanks!!:smt001

Boat: Seacraft
Jim !!! whats this all about ??.
I thought being the Capt of the CSR ship you'd own a Sea Ray . :smt043
I'll be placing a order with BOE next week. :smt001

The only Sea Rays I have owned are those I've taken on trade. I have a slip behind my house that fits a 8'6" wide outboard boat. Its shallow too. So I have all the boat I can fit right now.

I bought mine from Jim and with a boat your age you will need to upgrade your C80 firmware to version 4.29 to use their latest chip.

Thanks Bob, is that easy to update the firmware?

1. You need to register on the Raymarine website. They will ask for your C80 serial no.
2. Download the firmware update version 4.29.
3. Get a 2 gig or smaller CF blank disk preferrably one by Sandisk and USB CF reader to write to from your PC.
4. Copy the firmware update to the blank disk.
5. Insert the disk in your C80 and then power it up. It will read and install the firware update.
6. After it has installed reboot the unit and then insert your Navionics disk and you should be good to go.
