Where is your Placement of USCG Documentation No?

This my project for today. 13 year old boat, documented from day one but I have never found the permanent numbers. I now berth the boat a couple of miles from a USCG base so chances are much better that we will be boarded sooner or later. I was at this marina 25 years ago with our first Sundancer and I lost count of how often we were boarded. Never cited for anything, I think we were just easy pickings for trainees.

Had the voluntary inspection and this passed without comment.

How do you keep it "like new" in the engine compartment?!?!?!?!? Looks like you could eat off the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't really do much cleaning. The hatches have deep gutters with drain pipes that flow water overboard. The Crusaders are very clean and do not leak any oil or coolant. I do place diapers under the engines and trannys but they catch little in the way of debris or fluids because there isn't much to catch. The engine vents are fully enclosed and rain water drains overboard via a through hull vs. into the engine room. The shaft logs don't leak so the bilge is mostly dry. When we do maintenance work, we use lots of absorbent pads to catch drips. After that we wipe things down once a year and that's about it.
