2001 sea ray 210sd 5.0efi
Engines
5.0efi mercruiser
just purchased a 2000 210sd 5.0 efi and love it. took it out for the maiden voyage yesterday and after 20 miles or so of cruising and stopping and going at st augustine yesterday, it seemed to choke off while trying to crank it, after multiple attempts and several minute rest periods, i finally waited 30-40 minutes and it fired right up, so i think i flooded it. anyway want to do oil, oil filter, water/fuel separator, spark change before next outing, but how in the world do you access:
1. the blower motor to put a new one in
2. get to the spark plugs to change them
3. also ordered a new shureflo aqua king jr but looks to be a no brainer

will have more questions to come
thanks
john

Welcome aboard.
You may want to update your signature info, some people won't reply until you do.

Does your 210SD have a cowling that can be removed. I know the 240SD has one. If we keep talking the thread up I'm sure somebody will chime in.

Sorry Cowling not Crowling....One too many Rum and Cokes (Grin)

On the 240 where the seat that is over the engine, you can remove the section of fiberglass that it rest on, so you can have more access to the engine. Not sure if I explained it correctly or not, but hope you understand.

it appears i can remove the engine cover completely and that will give a little more access, maybe tomorrow i can re-evaluate it more

ROLL TIDE!

Good to see some other Crimson Tide folk out there! Looking forward to football season!

Are you alumni? I'm not alumni... I married into it! Wife graduated from BAMA in 2000....And... our unborn children will go to BAMA! Get ready... Come football season there will probably be some good roasting going on in the forums, but it's all in good fun!

Oh yeah... I didn't even read your post... I just got excited when I saw your screen name!

Check the link in my signature... And view the pics of our Sea Ray (especially the rear of the boat... just above the water line!)
