I'm getting the run around from the GA DOT about the location of a scale(s) to weigh my
Boat, trailer, and Suburban. Need one in the Lawrenceville/Snellville area.
I got a good idea of what I have in weight. But, I want to be sure.

You might want to check out of the "truck stops" on I-85. Some of them used to have scales as I best remember (but its been long ago).

Like WJ said, many truck stops have certified CAT scales you can pay a few bucks to check your weight on. I took mine down to the landfill when we first got the 260 to be sure I wasnt overweight. They dont care if you drive over their scales and theres typically a few C&D landfills in each county. Not 100% accurate but within a 100 or so pounds. HTH SB

Thanks for the replies.
I don't know what Google and Microsoft's search engines are doing to my machine lately. But, all I've gotten were ads for companies that sell scales.
My wife tried searching and she came up with about 10 different locations right off the bat!
Most of the locations were at the freeway truck stops like Pilot and such.
Never thought of the county landfill/dumps for a scale. Didn't know they charged by the pound.

Bottoms down and let 'er rip !

I did another post about getting my rig weighed at a
T&A Truck stop in Madison, GA. Real nice outfit.
It did cost $8.50. But, the knowledge of how much I'm
hauling back there makes decisions a little easier.
For one I'm going to get a bigger capacity trailer.
6600lbs GVWR isn't enough. I need a 7500 GVWR unit.
Or keep the boat in the lake year round. The trailer is a more
economical choice at the moment. Lakefront property is real expensive
still.
