When are you doing it?

Good luck. I've been a 2 boat owner since June:smt100

That was something (being a "two boat owner"..... I did once and will NEVER do again! Too much stress, and wound up taking a bigger hit than necessary when I finally found a buyer for the outgoing boat. He got a STEAL because I just had to know I didn't own two boats anymore. (and the one I was selling was beautiful, I had just outgrown it) NEVER again!! So good luck with your sale!

As for launching my "new to me" boat, hopefully that's this weekend!

I sold my 21' bowrider at the end of last season and spent, literally, ALL Fall and Winter and, I guess, Early Spring, shopping for my next boat. Shopped locally, shopped mid-west, shopped upstate New York, etc, etc, etc. FINALLY found something my wife and I could agree on (it had to pass the "Head Test" for her.....my wife is tall and she had to have a head she could get in and out of without being a contortionist.) The 2009 270SLX "just passed", plus she loved the radar arch with the fixed top.

Got a survey, naturally, after negotiating what I feel is a fair price and wouldn't you know it, among other things it needs manifolds and risers. (only 112 hours and 7 years......don't let anyone tell you the newer 496's last longer!) So the seller has agreed to do that and hopefully that and a little laundry list of smaller items will be completed in time for a weekend delivery.

Here's hoping!

Selling it would be great, but last season it worked out well. The 44da sheared the coupler bolts and bent the shaft. The result was that it was in the yard for 5+ weeks being repaired. If it doesn't sell soon ( I've just dropped the price to $15,000 below book), my 20 year old son has "called dibs" on it for the summer. Lol. 20 years old flying down the lake in a 40' Donzi with t500's.
