Whats your Boats name and what does it mean to you

2K WINGIN' IT...My name is Ken and the wife is Kathy (hence the 2K) and we are just wingin' it!

Both our daughters names start with a 'P', and they're best pals - the whole peas in a pod thang...

Here she is waiting for summer.

I grew up on a 55 Ocean my parents named OUR WAY. Spent the summers on the Chesapeake (Sassafras River) and we took the boat to Florida in the winter. My parents now have an 82 Horizon named OUR WAY that we spend lots of time on as well. When my wife and I bought our 280 we thought a play on OUR WAY would be fun. Hence the name: OUR'S AWAY.

We're now in the process of trading up to a Formula 41 PC and we're not sure on a name yet.

I'm a Parrothead and I manage a regional solid waste management outfit. Hence "Wasted Away". I put it in the past tense, since I am about shot!!! But not the Boat!!

Well I have been around computers since before Microsoft, GUI's, Windows, etc. and I always heard peope referring to their computers thinking...so there you go.

Of course not many cannot pronoun it or spell it

Then there is acronym for Boat...Be One Additional Thousand :smt043:smt043:smt043

So I guess in one extreme or the other it is apropos!

Our 30' Searay is named (CityLimits) for once you cross the stern leave the city troubles behind.

And our 25' Hawaiian daycruiser is named (Days away)for on the Drilling rigs I worked on so many years our days off are called Days away.

We as a senior couple and ready to enjoy our first boat, and who have as most people in life had ups and downs....this new adventure to us will be as refreshing as a SUMMER BREEZE...

After a trip to Jamaica, I came up with ERIE IRIE.

Erie being where we boat, and Irie being a Jamaican word meaning "everthing's OK"

Made sense to us!

Went through some very difficult times over the last couple of years. While seeking some internal balance, I came across this man. After studying him, I came to the realization that my plight was a pittance in comparison.

I am not easily impressed. This fellow impressed me enough to name my boat after him.

After buying my parents boat 9 yrs ago which they have owned for 21 yrs I updated by repainting, interior, tunes and removing bow rail. It still has the Paul Pfaff motor but even that has had some updating also, still has the same
crank, rods, cam & heads that has produced well over 500hp for 29yrs now.
Anyway I named this boat (2nd Generation) for reasons stated, and I plan to name my 78 SRV300 bridge when restored (Next Generation). When my son finally gets these boats when I'm old & gone he can just ad (II) to the names to be the Next Generation of ownership. Pics are in my profile.

still searching for a name - any suggestions? My name is Chris, my wife's name is Ann and my kids are Amelia, Emily and Anthony. Last name starts with a C and yes, you guessed it, its italian

********, because I don’t like to fly.
Just kidding, actually we haven’t picked a name yet, leaning toward Wing it.

"Reward".

Five years ago, when Grant (our youngest) was 8, we were in Vancouver, BC and saw a 150' yacht named "Reward". Grant stated that when we got a bigger boat we should name it "Reward". So we did.

Now I don't have to buy a 150' yacht...

"Sarah Smile". My daughter from a previous marriage and my wife's daughter from a previous marriage are both named Sarah. We are NOT big Hall and Oates fans, but the name seemed to be appropriate from when they saw the boat for the first time. They had a big "smile" on their face.

"Beer Thirty"... The only time we recognize on the boat!

It's my wife's first name from the country from where she was born, Romania. The name is Marinela. It means "from the sea"...which is very appropriate.
