What's this worth? 245 Sundancer

Good engine and trailer I would say in the 4k market.,maybe more if it was clean. It all depends on the total condition of the boat.

It is worth not a penny more than the seller will take for it.............

He's lost his storage
His wife is complaining every night about the boat in the driveway
His garage is blocked
The engine has frozen cracked the block
Without being able to sea trial the boat the sellers market is cut by 90+%

If you are up for a project, figure your cost to re-power then take the sellers shirt off his back. Running in average condition the old boat guide pegs this one $3500-$4000.

He's looking at the same model locally, but I dont think it's the same boat he sent the eBay ad for... The OP is from PA, the eBay ad is in NY.

Correct, the one locally is not on the internet, so I wanted to post an exact model for comparison.

Ok, Here is the actual one I am looking at. I was able to take my own pics of it.

They are looking to get 7k for it, but everyone claims it is too high. Suggestions on REAL price?

Yeah, I would pass. The boat might get 7k for a Green Bay Packer fan!

I would say thats a 4 to 5k boat,

Pay attention to what fwebster says, he has been at this for a long time and his knowledge is vast. He is not going to steer you wrong.

Question, not that I want to pay more, by all means I want it to be 4-5k range, but what is happening that these boat are worth nothing in good shape?

I really fell for this boat and everyone is saying it is high. I am curious as to how?

By the looks of the boat, someone has taken great care of it or done a recent restoration, except for the drive.

As stated, the book value in average condition is $4000 on the high end. Maybe the trailer is worth $500, so we'll say $4500 in average condition for the package. Only you can make the call as to what the above average condition and any upgrades are worth to you.

Good luck and nice looking boat for her age.

Well its a done deal, someone else bought the boat for the 7k. It looks nicer in the water and really is a head turner. I was able to look at it docked up and it has all the electronics not shown in the pictures, and has a full set of down riggers. What is even better is that it came with all the original manuals and was a one owner boat. I bet I will never find another one like that.

I also notice the teak was not all hacked up and improperly stained / sealed. All of it was in good enough condition to re oil properly and it would have looked like brand new.

Now I am really mad I drug my feet with the funds, lack of a tow vehicle big enough, and all the other stuff..... oh well.:smt089

Pics again (nothing new added):
