What's this? A 650 Fly possibly? A spotting of an elusive vessel!

Hey Rusty- I have just cleared my calendar for....well...oh till July .....so I'm comin in by chopper slow down a little so they can drop me on board, lol.....safe travels buddy...I hear we are getting one at our marina here in Cinti in July - can't wait to see her....don

Wait, no wifi on the 650FLY? They should be blogging throughout the entire journey. At least posting on the SR Facebook page for publicity with such a voyage. Could it be that the last stop is Boston because I won the SR sweepstakes?

At Ft. Myers this morning and will be heading across the Okeechobee Waterway today...if you like, I will be happy to report from each location but blogging is tough as I need to give operating this gorgeous baby my undivided attention. Need a photo guy to snap as I go lol........Rusty

The wife and I were getting ready to leave St Pete for Tarpon Springs on Satruday morning and I had just powered up the radios and I hear "Sea Ray 65" calling the city marina and now I am thinking what did the captian say. Did I here that correct Sea Ray 65? That has to be the new 650Fly. So I told the wife to hurry up getting ready as there is something I want to see.
So off we go to the city marina and behold we find this!

As I was taking pics Capt Rusty came out and invited us to stop by after he finished refueling. I headed to the city hourly dock and walked over to the trans dock to meet this legendary Capt and the new L Class prototype 650 Fly. Best way to describe the yacht is WOW! This this is awesome!!! Rusty and Joe(from R&D) were very eager to show off this beauty. Thank you guys for showing us around the boat. Sea Ray really stepped up their game with this one.
Sea Ray has to be very proud of this boat and their employees as they are top notch. Thank you again Rusty and Joe!

Sea Ray has come a long way from the boats they were building in the beginning years! I bet they never would have dreamed of building something that grand.

Rusty-

If you're taking the detour up the Potomac to Prince William Marina let us know! If not, just give us a heads up when heading to Annapolis.

Would love to meet you and the boat. I saw the hull when it came out of the mold in Palm Coast back in October, but it would be great to see the complete boat!

Thanks!
Ryan

ps. I'm happy to ride along and shoot photos and nice, high definition video ;-)

Hey Kevin! We toured that boat at the unveiling at the Miami Boat Show. Great to see that you got to see it too! Great job running it down.

Cap'n Rusty...God love him...always with his arm around a pretty lady!

Man that thing is awesome.

+1. I'm just south of Richmond, VA and can be in the DC area in 2.5 hours......or 6 depending on traffic! Would love to meet up with y'all.

We'll be keeping an eye out for you up north. Maybe we can get some action shots of you going through the East River.

Kevin called me to let me know it was around this wekeend but I had guests on the boat and couldn't make it down in time to meet Captain Rusty and tour the boat. We did see it tied up as we entered the YC. Sweet looking boat.

In Stuart FL this morning after dinner with BoatGuy last night at Sunset Bay Marina watching a super sunset, go figure!

Headed to Palm Beach this morning for a dealer review by week's end.

Annapolis...be looking for me to cruise by around the second weekend of June. I just sent out a PM to a friend on the site about how it is difficult for me to make postings as I operate this boat from sunrise to sunset. I do enjoy your inquiries and will do my best to let you know where the 650FLY is cruising by.

Was great meeting Kevin and his lovely Admiral Nicole....I was just ensuring she wouldn't fall off that small boat LOL.

North bound early next week !....all the way to New England. Thanks for the inquiries.

Thanks Rusty. What's your general outlook on reaching the Savannah to Charleston stretch?
