What's the meaning of.....

Joeyleggz Nickname since high school probably because I’m 6 5”

My last name is Patton, and I've always been called General since elementary school days. Most of my online forum names are GnrlPatton to reflect my nickname.

Oh, and no, I'm not related to the General. :)

My Mother always called me the Instigator as a kid. She said I would walk into a room and say something to get people arguing with each other and then leave laughing as they squabble. I can't really deny it. I spelled it different on the boats so hopefully nobody else had the name spelled the same way.

I own a collection agency and have been in the industry for over 35 years... And it was the name of my first SeaRay '89 300 Weekender.

Just lovin' life on the northern shore of Ohio.
Also has a bit to do with a local song from the late 70's - "There's No Surf in Cleveland"

I am a huge ZZ Top fan and I have been to 13 of their concerts.

Not really - I just made that up. Seriously, long time season ticket holder for Tennessee Vols football. Section ZZ13, seats 8-9.

Email address that I set up in 1995 on AOL. My first initial, Wife’s first initial, First letter of last name and anniversary. When we chose it for an email back in 1995 I figured tacking the anniversary on the end would help me to always remember it. Now that I’m turning 65 the initials help me to remember my name and more importantly hers.

Pretty simple, first name, last name initial.

A friend of mine always called “his” “thing” Mr Happy. :)

But I always tell everyone it’s because of a vacation I was on with some other friends. I was a little grumpy. So all vacation they called me Mr Happy.

I’ve been gone a long time and happy to be back.

I boat on Lake Minnetonka, the largest lake in the Twin Cities. Hence the name, Tonka Boater.

As a side note and little trivia for those not from the Midwest, Tonka trucks/toys were first created in Mound, MN on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. Hence the name, Tonka Trucks.

Minnesota is a fly over state for many people but we do have more than 10,000 kick ass lakes and a pretty cool lake in the heart of the Twin Cities.

Ahem.....

From Google....
Q: How many lakes are there in Michigan? A: There are more than 11,000 inland lakes, 5 acres in size or larger, in Michigan. According to the Michigan Historical Society, one is never more than 6 miles from an inland lake or more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes.

I've always believed there are 2 types of people that boat. The first are people that own boats. You know the ones....they have the boats in the marina that sit unused except for 3-day holidays. And they are at a loss why it won't start. (I don't get it....it ran last year on July 4th)

Next, there are Boaters. We're the sick individuals that just can't get enough. We look at Yacht World or Boat Trader for fun while eating lunch; or we are happy to be on the boat even if we don't leave the marina; or we can be perfectly happy with a weekend completely alone on the boat. (Honey, I'm going to Vegas with the girls this weekend. Will you be OK here by yourself?) Oh yeah....we're the sick ones.

I have always proudly considered myself....A Boater! So when I needed a User Name for this, the first forum I ever joined, Boater seemed automatic but it needed more so I added NorCal as I was living in Sacramento,CA at the time. NorCal Boater was born.
