well put.....:smt009...... thats exactly how I felt today when I saw it.Now that's truly depressing.
I agree. Sailboats? Yuck!Now that's truly depressing.
We do have an abundance of rag boats in our marina.... :smt009I agree. Sailboats? Yuck!

The SOB's have some kind of regatta once a week during the summer and effectively block the entrance to our marina :smt013
I love passing them at just under plaining speed :lol:
I think I'll pass on the ice breaking..... might scuff my wax job :wink:What's the matter with you??? Do your civic duty and fire up that boat of yours and go break that ice. A couple of full throttle runs up the fairway should do it. As an added bonus, you can check out that new captain's chair that you installed.
When my boy was 2 he asked me... why do some boats have big sticks coming out of them? :lol:
We called them stick boats for years but now we've switched that to snailboat.
Ice? What Ice? This is ice;
It was a little thin at this point - only about 10". This is about 100' from our mooring and is still salt/tidal.

Sorry, guys, but I'm thinking I might have to wear shorts today. We are set to hit 70F. Some cold weather would sure make it feel more like Thanksgiving...
:wow: OMG!
I don't know where you live but its obviously way too cold..... brrrr
That sure is pretty to look at.....on YOUR boat!! There's no way I could take that!I just got back from checking on the boat and there's no ice anywhere in the marina bay. It's warmed up to about 25° and there's no more snow coming down and no wind. Here's two shots of the dock I'm on. The winds blew most of the snow off the roof so there's no heavy load to worry about.
My boat is out near the left end of the dock, just to the left of the red/white/blue houseboat.
This is the shore end of our dock.
I was the first one to put tracks on the dock since the snow fell but there have been lots of others down there since.
Here's a shot from inside the salon. It's 55° in there....much nicer than standing outside to take the same photo.
We're supposed to have freezing rain over the next 24 hours but then warmer temps over the next few days after that.
