Whenever that happens, someone should empty a dumpster into their living room. Some people think the world is their trash can.

On a positive note, they made an arrest and imposed a hefty fine, although I think the punishment should have been much more severe!

I saw this story a ew days ago and asked myself why the cops that were videoing did not intervene and stop it instead of needing to have an investigation about it.

Fwiw….

“asked myself why the cops that werevideoing did not intervene ”

I think it was a marina cam that captured the act, and then the video was turned over to law enforcement.

It was a person on another boating videoing. They supposedly said something to the idiots, but they paid them no mind. So glad they turned the video over to the cops! Fing Animals!!!!

I would have had to walk over and give them a piece of my mind before calling the authorities or notifying marina staff.

While I "do stuff" on the dock occaisionally, I am always concerned about not leaving any trace. Leave it like ya found it...or better.

I remember a farmer that hesitently let me fish his pond. I was mostly catch and release, as now. One hot summer day I pulled up to the bank, ate a sandwich and had a beer. Nothing was biting and I had a large garbage bag in tbe truck, so I went around the pond (12 acres) picking up worm boxes, cans, etc. I was almost back to the truck when Jackie (the farmer) came up in his farm truck. He asked me what the hell I was doing, I told him. For the next 25 years I had a free pass. But always called to ask out of courtesy.
