I have the best girlfriend! When we first met she told me in a very sternly voice... " Dont ever get me anything for Valentines day" She feels it is a made up day and has been way over commercialized! I sit in peace every feb 14th just knowing I dont have to do a thing!
Get some Subway sandwiches and wrap them in foil. When I get home I’ll stick them on the engine block for the ride to the hockey game so we can have hot sandwiches. Let’s go Preds!
My GW fixed me Steak Diane, fresh asparagus, mashed potatoes and her own homemade bread. I gave her my healthy appetite. Oh, and some fresh flowers and tulips that are blooming now and will be planted in her garden once this 1.5' of snow goes away, and a card that tells her how much I love her.
My Bride brought home a nice big NY strip and a Lobster Tail to share which I prepared to perfection with mashed potatoes and asparagus spears. We ate on the couch admiring the dozen roses I bought for her and then watched four episodes of Valentines Day" Beat Bobby Flay". Today is our 27th wedding anniversary so its off to the boat for the long weekend and an indulgent series of massages and eating out. I love that my bride loves the boat as much as I do! Carpe Diem and Happy President's day every one
I bought 2 NY strips and asparagus spears. I cooked them on the grill. She did the pilaf. Some wine. Then fell asleep at 9 with the tv on because we both work too long and hard days.
Herbed Pork Chops with shiitake mushrooms and green beans. Desert was fine chocolates with homemade chocolate Old Fashioned's. The Old Fashioned was amazing! I made a syrup from a chocolate stout beer, with black walnut bitters and cherry bitters. mmmm MM
My wife is in Alabama, I am in Michigan... I was working late so I had a burger and two Tall Busch Lite (on special) from the local watering hole up the road from the plant.. all in was $8.50.
