What to keep the mice out

We have alot of mice around and I used to keep outside cats. With the help of a few owls they did a good job except they crap all over. Eventually I think the owls picked off my cats and now I'm back to having mice. So far they haven't found their way into the boat.

While on the stands, I can't even climb onto the boat. How's a mouse going to get up there? Even if a bird dropped him, he'd slide off the shrink wrap.

I think that is the key... Store outside in the cold and Shrink Wrap. I have yet to have a problem, but this year has gotten cold very fast... hopefully we won't have a problem. : )

I use a small ball of steel wool in the drain plug hole water drains thru and is a barrier to mice. Also use glue traps. Never had a problem yet. Mothballs are nasty and toxic.
