Hey guys, I am going to try to make available every year and model panel that are not available from searay. You guys are teh experts and have been around these boats so I was wondering if you could start helping me make a list.

Thanks

Here's a pretty good guess........any boat no longer in production. The only panels Sea Ray will have are left over production panels, others are probably special ordered from the manufacturer who mills the panels. I'm told they don't keep patterns since they are not interested in setting up for one replacement at a time.

Another factor to consider is that most boats from about '94-'95 up, or whenever Sea Ray started using the wood grained sheet, are bad. The further south the boat, the worse the panel's condition is likely to be becasue of the sun exposure. The first 2-3 years, Sea Ray made a really bad choice in panel material and they just didn't hold up. Most owners, even if they could get replacements, opted not to and have just put up with the old crappy looking ones because the cost of replacements thru Sea Ray was laughable.

So, I'm wondering if you even need to worry about inventory or availability from Sea Ray. Just figure a way to have templates made and charge for the hassle to make the first set for a model. After that, you will have patterns for other orders for the same model.

I don;t need to make templates, I have a CNC laser so I draw them once in a CAD type drafting progra and have them for good, I have already done the 330 panels as seen in the panel thread in this forum, and I have gotten great responses so I figrue why not try to offer them all. I figure Searay would like to have a source to get them for thier customers or at the very least be able to refer customers to me. I have the burl material but it is not at all the same material they used, the stuff I have is made for outdoor use owners canget the same great look and actually have it last.

It will be a few weeks before I get it uncovered. I can make a templete with dimensions.

How about the labeling of switches??

What do you mean? Can I do the lableing? Absolutly, I am a professional panel builder, I better have the ability to label the panels ahha or i am in the wrong business :smt043

Check out the thread just below this one, I re did the 330 panels, engraving the text and all, they can be back lit just like the originals but I am using far better material. And my text looks better because I am using newer technology

And yes I have a few different woodgrains along with just about any color as well
