I agee with her, the counter space is too valuable. We keep ours at the helm, directly under the steering wheel. Bring it downstairs, just before untying the lines. That way, fresh ice is always accessible, where we hang out most of the time.Love mine. My wife, however, is not in love with the counter space it takes up so I have gone back to ice trays for this season...
