My current boat has a vaccuflush and we really like it. I have been looking around at other boats and some have the head with rhe T handle beside the seat. what is this style called and how does it work?

pump style head,it has a little lever on the side you flip to get the water in the bowl while pumping.Then flip the other way to flush and stop water from coming in.They tend to leak or squirt on your hand while pumping,at least the older ones with shaft packing in them did.I love my vacuflush.

I really like ours as well. I just don't want to pass on a good deal if it has that style of head. can a vaccuflush be retrofitted in place of the pump style? I assume there is a holding tank with the pump style.

yes you can add vacuflush,we also had a electric one on our 40 silverton that was nice,no prefill required just push the button when your done.Electric toilets arent as expensive as vacuflush and i dont think you need to find a place for the vacum tank.Our vacuflush tank is behind the fridge on our 370.
