I have an Amberjack 290 built 2004. By the controls on the left
there are two trim tab switches to lower and raise the trim tabs.
On the right side are 3 x trim switches, 2 I guess to lower and
raise the left and right props but then what is the third switch?
If anybody has an Amberjack 290 or similar configuration please
let me know.Thanks BK290

I really am not sure but third switch might be there to put the drives all the way up in trailer position. On my 210 sundeck a single I/O my drive switch will only let me trim up just so far and then I have to push the up to trailer switch to put the drive the rest of the way up. You might need to use the two drive switches to the up position and then use the third switch for full up trailer position. Not sure just a guess.

Not sure on this paticular model, but on a twin drive setup you usually have two to control the drives independently and then one that runs them together keeping them in sync.

My 31DA has 3 switches. Two of them are to adjust the trim while cruising. The third which has a check mark looking thing on it... Is to raise both outdrives for trailering. the reason they are seperate, is because you don't to raise the outdrives too far out of the water while cruising. Hope this helps.

It is for trailering. Your outdrives will only raise to a pre-determined position that is limited by a switch. This is to protect your u-joints mostly. You push this switch to bypass the limit switch in order to get your boat on a trailer, or for towing on a trailer.
