What is the best media to blast Stainless Bravo 3 props?

Should these be polished?
Will it help reduce growth?
Polishing will help very little. I polished mine the first few years and then gave up and just dipped them in barnacle Buster each winter. I tend to use the boat a lot during the season so not a lot of time for growth.

WAIT A MINUTE! Hit the brakes! AmI reading this right? This is the first time the boat been pulled since 2007?
Please tell me I misread that.
I'm going to say you misread that. I had to go back and look at it myself. He said "Longest season in the water since I bought the boat new in 2007." so I assume that meant just this last season.

William, i have never painted ss props. Ever. Last year I had a small (ha ha ha) problem that prevented me moving the boat out of slips most of last summer. First time I took it out, it got naturally cleaned. Maybe my area but seems barnacles don’t attach to my SS props.

Good. Cause I have told y’all about the live a boards that ain’t moved boats in years.
I swear I will post pics next sunny day of boats on blocks now at the marina. You guys would not believe the barnacles.

FWIW - I agree with Jeremy - I used to polish mine with all types of stainless polish for years. I use my boat at least once a week here in New England. At some point every season I had to clean the props either while anchored or at the dock laying on the swim platform. I always wore leather gloves as the little suckers are sharp.
I started painting the props with prop coat per Pettit’s recommendation. I soon found rustoleum’s cold galvanizing paint had either the same or similar properties. I used this on my trim tabs as well. This reduced the barnacle build up considerably. Iirc I did this for about 5 years. Last year I had the props tuned and as mentioned earlier they recommend I not paint them but did not say why. I sold the boat so I have no more history after the tune.
