What does this switch do?

No clue as to what this switch does....anyone?

Depends on your boat. The same switch panel was used for multiple models. So things weren't used or were used differently. On the 300DA, 320DA, 340DA it's not used. On the 280DA it turns on fresh water pump I think (but 280DA owners would need to verify that).
 
Correct - what Bill said is right on. Common switch panels - in some boats, the pump is turned on other places and that button is a blank.

I wired mine to power my auto pilot. Took some hunting, but there is a capped wire under the steering wheel coming out of the ECM that will power up with that switch.

That's correct on a 280 DA that's the water pump switch.
 
Oh, come on, everyone knows it starts the Flux Capacitor!!


Could very well be. No one will ever know though. Nobody is hitting 88 mph on any of those boats. Just saying. ;)
