What do you use to tow your boats?

I pull my 230 BR with a 1500 Avalanche and it does great. I am averaging about 10 miles per gallon pulling the boat.

GMC 2500 4x4 Duramax/Allison (chipped). If I pull using my head and not my foot I can get 16+ mpg @ 75 mph. But its really fun to pull away from a stop light and literally smoke just about everything on the road.

My tow vehicle is a BMW X5. I packs a serious 6,000 lb. towing capacity for an SUV.

I have a 200 Select, I tow it with either my 03 F-150 with the cute little 4.6......I wish I had gone with the 5.4 but I didnt see a boat in my future at that time. I does ok but not as well as the wifes Expedition, it has the 5.4 and has no problems yanking my toy around!

We tow the 260 with an '04 Chevrolet 2500 HD EXT Cab. It's the 6L and does fine but, the next tow rig will be a DuraMax for sure.

What the heck are you doing towing your boat around with the antenna straight up and down?

I was towing our 240 Sundeck with an 05 Suburban Z71, but felt like I was beating up the family vehicle. So, I traded in my Jeep and bought an 07 Chevy 2500 ex-cab. It does a great job, plenty of power with the 6.0. Gas mileage....not so good. I also got rid of the Z71, and got a new Suburban with 4:10 gears....just in case.

I tow mine with an army surplus 10 TON 6X6 truck. It does pretty well. Kinda slow going down the boat ramp in low, low though....

I do a Gary Ceremony, like the "Colors" Ceremony at Roche Harbor, here in Washington
everytime I lower my antenna.

Traffic doesn't like the delay when we go under bridges. But You want Straight Antennas......so it is what it is.

FYI<
Here in WA at Roche Harbor, every night between Memorial Day and Labor day the entire Harbor goes silent at dusk, restaurants, shops and BBq's on boats for the dock crew to take down the "Colors" (flags from USA, WA st. Canada, and Roche Harbor). It's tradition.

Nissan Armada "off road" edition with towing package upgrade. I haven't pulled my boat yet since it is still about 3 weeks away from being built. I am sure it will be quite easy to pull.

Though I am nervous. I have pulled all sorts of things behind trucks all my life, never an item so unprotected, however.
Love quoting myself!!!! I realized I never posted since I did actually tow it home.

Easy as pie. Whatever that means:huh: Didnt even know the boat was behind us except a part of 95 that they narrowed the lanes to a seemingly 8' width or less.

I use a 2007 Saab 97V( by the way it is a trailblazer) with a 4.2 lt engine to tow a 2000 Sundeck all over Michigan.

I towed my '95 185 Sea Ray Bowrider for 8 yrs with no issues behind my '00 Toyota Tundra, and didn't even know it was back there. I bought a 2007 210 Select Bowrider this weekend, and I notice it there now, but only on hills and taking off. I just towed it 400 miles from the dealers to my place, with no issues!
