What do you use for deck pads?

I want to get some type of deck "padding" so people can use the cabin deck for sunning themselves (next summer of course  ). I would like to know what you folks use. Are regular air mattreses the way to go or just a whole bunch of towels or blankets for padding?

Before I had a boat with the sundeck option, my wife used an excercise matt that rolled up....if I had to now, I would use one of those pool high density floats that have a built in pillow and also roll up...they come in colors also....

We've been using the pads from our garden lounge chairs from home. They work ok, but the problem is that they tend to slide or blow off the deck too easily. I've considered adding snaps to the pads and deck to overcome this, but am hesitent to mar the clean finish of the deck. The foam float mats may not slide or blow off as easily as they have a vinyl/rubber finish, are lower profile and a bit heavier (though that is relative).

The previous owner of our 280 had custom pads made that can be seen below. We've all really enjoyed them.

As someone else has mentioned, I use a cushion from a patio chair. I have the stainless rails on the bow. The cushion fits almost perfectly between the stainless rails. I use the ties (that would be used to attach to a chair) to attach to the rails. The color of the cushion is very similar to the tan colored canvas on the boat.

The price from Sea Ray for the sunpad was $185 plus shipping...the chair cushion was $21 from Target.

large beach towel and a type IV for the coconut

Bridog...The previous owner only told me that MarineMax in Lewisville, Texas had them made and installed prior to them taking delivery. Sorry I can't be more spercific.

Alex,

Now I see who is guilty of the big photos! If I had a beauty like that, I would post just the same. Great photo. Oh oh, hope I don't get censured. :smt014

You have a trailing [/img] tag. I found while posting some of mine that the ending tag does not automatically appear when you click the img icon, but it DOES later in the process of adding the URL. I am sure yet what triggers it to appear, but it happens. Then if you have already typed it, because there wasn't one, you get two.

No harm ... these are all links and not uploaded ... they are low res 1024x768 pics = big size/low bandwidth
