I just added a JL 10" sub in my 280DA. I have 4 coaxials right now in the factory locations which is fine.
However, I'd like to figure out how to get some decent speakers (or one speaker??) up in the arch w/o distracting from the looks.
I wanted to install a single dual voice coil speaker to replace the access panel in the arch, but its only around 2 - 2 1/4" in depth in that area and most speakers are closer to 3-4" deep.
The options I can think of are to either drill two holes to fit some 6 1/2" speakers, or mount just two tweeters up in the arch (one on the port side and one on the starboard side).
I don't want to mount those big torpedo type speakers.
Any thoughts?
