Hi All-

I don't yet own a Searay but from what I've seen of these boats, they're awesome. A testament to the brand is the fact that you see a lot of older SeaRay boats that are still in good condition, owners still running them from long ago, or folks that bought a "new but gently used" SeaRay having nothing but good things to say about them.

I'm also relatively new to boating, although I've driven a friend's bass boat around in a local lake, etc, and enjoyed the experience.

In all honesty I'm probably not going to be able to get a boat in the next year or so, but in the meantime I'm going to get my safety cert, etc, and try to study up on what I need to know to get on the water. I might even get myself a little dinghy and and outboard just to tool around some local lakes
and the like. In New England we have a ton of these, and many of them are not far from where I'm at.

In the meantime I'll be saving up some pennies for a SeaRay and some kind of vehicle to tow it with. :smt001 I'm most enamored with the Sundeck series, as these boats seem to be pretty versatile. You could be fishing one minute and then pulling kids around on a tube the next, or just loafing with friends out on the water.

I think that boating will be an excellent way for me to recharge and get away from it all. I work in IT so the job is somewhat high stress, and I think this will be a good outlet overall. I think my girlfriend and her kids will come to enjoy it as well. At a minimum the 9 year old will like it, no doubt. :smt001

FWIW, I also want to say I find this site very useful- there are a lot of good people here that know a lot about their boats.... and IMO that makes for
a great site.
