I am not a political person. I am a registered Independent. This posting is not a political post. I understand the rules of this forum. This post is just a glimpse of the underlying thought process of the hard-lined pro-choice people. I will not post a link to the article, if you want to read it, you will have to search for it. (Using DuckDuckGo, preferably.)

As people all over the continent, and world, with whom I share a common interest and passion, I want to share this article with you.

Read how de-humanizing and utterly morally deficient this writer is concerning abortion. That is not my opinion - it is the writer’s written word. I can make this statement about her without fear of angering her (not worried anyway), because, obviously, she is very comfortable with her views on the destruction of a living child in the womb.
I believe a person can be pro-choice and still have compassion for the unborn and view the choice as a necessary evil or one that the woman will just live with. My personal view on this issue is irrelevant to my point in this post. The views of this writer are hard for me to understand, as a human, and what I thought was a higher form of life.

The article is from June 22, 2022 published by Sophie Lewis titled, “Abortion Involves Killing - And That’s OK” in the The Nation publication.

As I read the article, I can hear possible echoes of the discussion of the fate of little Jewish kids in the Nazi death camps. I find it difficult to separate the two.

I may be way off, but this disturbs me. As we struggle to keep our country on the correct path, understand the mind of the hard-left.

I would sure like to know the same thing. I get and agree with the extreme medical reasons of aborting a fetus in the case of the life of the mother being in danger. I get really oogy about aborting due to extreme birth defect and the seemingly unnecessary burden an underdeveloped human eventually puts on families and society, but I am mainly guided by my ultimate faith in nature or God that what will be should be. I see a severely challenged young man take walks with his Mom whenever I am at the marina and my heart breaks for him and his mother as their lives are so limited by a bad stroke of genes. Had the boy been aborted the parents may have had the chance to have a normal child and society would likely have a willing and capable participant.
I think mostly the pro choicer crowd is just filled with angry liberals that feel like the Man has had all the say in our culture throughout history and they just don't like the idea of WASPs in the government dictating the decision women need to make regarding reproduction. They, being women after all get all hysterical about it and join in on the protest. What I don't not get is the pussy whipped males, I won't call them men, that join in. They don't have a dog in the fight unless they just want to ensure that the mistakes they make it the back seat of a car have no real consequences.

I’m not so sure I agree with lives being “limited” by caring for children with disabilities. If you look in the crowds of angry protesters on all sides, do you see anyone with Down’s? Do you see anyone with any form of mental handicap? Probably not. Likely because they are actually the only “happy” people in society! I know some families that live very fulfilled lives with children with disabilities.
Fortunately, we are a wealthy enough culture to support people with disabilities. The problem is the people who refuse to work THAT HAVE NO DISABILITIES other than being lazy, entitled slobs with criminal tendencies.

My logic flows as such: If Sophie’s logic and reason are allowed to become acceptable in our culture, then we will allow one human (mother) to choose to terminate a life (baby) only because that baby is of no “value” to her or the baby is a hindrance to her personal goals. Either reason is acceptable, according to Sophie.

Extension: Dude name Chris needs some quick cash. Dude named Phil is working the register at the local Stop-n-Rob. Chris “chooses” to load his gun, walk in the store, terminate Phil, and take the needed cash. Phil was terminated because he was a hindrance to Chris’ plans in life. Phil could have caused problems for Chris and had to be eliminated just like baby could have caused problems for mom and, this had to be eliminated. Tell me the difference.

When you believe humans are considered the same as weeds in a flower bed, the future is very bleak, if those people manage to gain control of the police, military, medical, and educational systems.
Still want to give up your guns?
Still want to vote Progressive-Democrat?

Actually there have been some tweets by Congresswomen and such saying that without their previous abortions they wouldn’t be “where they are.” Completely self-centered and kind of untrue.

I often say the cure for cancer was sent to us but that child was aborted...
Is it OK if the future cure for cancer was swallowed?;)

Tough subject, but if women don't want a child then why have them...why get pregnant at all. That's the way to deal with this. How about using your head, accepting some responsibility and prevent the pregnancy to start with.

What's interesting is that after '73 you'd think that the number of abortions would have increased, never stopped rising, but it did the opposite until recently. That's even more interesting when you consider that there are 50+ million more women now than back in '73. I wonder what changed?

No abortion, fine. Not something I wish upon anyone. How about we make it as tough to slip the bonds of paternity as maternity. Nothing like a bunch of privileged dudes discussing the pros and cons of abortion. While the girl was failing at playing goalie there was some dude trying as hard as he can to score. Maybe we should hand out the morning after pill like candy and make viagra a class 3 scheduled drug.

No glove, no love. :)

I heard 60% of the abortions are young minority woman. They don't have the money or intelligence to take care of themselves never mind a baby. So what's going to happen to these brown/black baby's? Mother probably on drugs so baby's brain will be compromised, probably going to be a ward of the state forever. Very sad indeed, I like abortion

Ok, Margaret Sanger.

Availablity of and access to Birth Control is my guess.

What I find idiotic is these protestors wearing shirts that say something like, “I loved my abortion”. Really - You loved killing something, that something being a human being? I wonder how these same tools would feel if I climbed the Cottonwood tree in my neighbors yard and took the egg from the Bald Eagle nest for my breakfast? I find it difficult to understand the rationalization of using an abortion as a form of birth control…

Ok, Margaret Sanger.

exactly my thoughts. If you said that 60% of police shootings were black/brown, the outcry would be systemic racism. When you say the same for abortions, somehow these minorities are portrayed as being victimized by this. In my mind, this is the most racist thing this country sanctions. Think how many black and brown lives have been lost.

For some reason I don't give a shit about those lives or the lives of the ones on the news daily fathering them

This whole issue is demonic. It’s now legal up to a month after birth in California if their legislature passes.

Look at the vitriol these pro choice demons posses.

So you can kill a pre born, a newborn up to a month old, but don’t dare use a gun to defend yourself against a killer.

This ruling was from God. Thank God.
