Make an offer if you can use it. This is a great non-clogging upgrade to the OEM shower sump pumps that often go bad.

These are great pumps, but on my last boat I had it wired to a switch in the head, so when someone showered they turned the pump on. My 340 has the standard shower sump box with a float switch. It's wired directly and the pump actuates when the sump fills up. If you replace that set up with this pump, what actuated it, or do you have to wire a switch up in the head?

You could wire the switch in the shower to actuate the pump. I was going to keep the existing sump well and float switch and mount the Gulper pump external to the sump (with the pump inlet connected to the sump discharge) and wire the float switch in the sump to actuate the pump. I recall seeing a post where someone had that setup.
