Good afternoon CSR,
after 3.5 years on a different brand, we are poised to return to Sea Ray on a 2015 470DA but before we pull that trigger, we're hoping to get some feedback from owners. We took the boat out last night and conditions were flat calm. As expected, the boat handled great (cummins/zeus marriage). But, there were a few things that surprised us. 1. It was loud with rattles and noises. We isolated one to the support pole on the engine hatch and the other to the glass doors when they're open. Anyone else have such noise? 2. the aft seating area is wet. Water just seems to love that area.So the spray from cruising, which is normally no factor, ends up coming back onto the seats. Now, we've never operated an express with glass doors, so this may be normal due to low pressure created behind the "wall" pulling the water back towards the boat. I just don't know. 3. midship cabin air condition controls, where are they? We found 3 control units in the main salon, 1 in the galley and 1 in the VIP.
Other than these few things, we really like the boat. So, if you've got experience with this, these or any other experience on this model, please let me know. Thanks
