We have just finished the above canals as well as the St. Lawrence Seaway and Ottawa River

Now on to the Trent Severn, Georgian Bay, Detroit River and Lake Erie.

It has been a great two weeks. Now for the next two weeks.

Wow what fun ,your clocking some hours at low speed and enjoying the scenery arent you.I did lake erie from detroit to tanawanda then erie to cayuga lake to Ithaca ny and back in 19 days with a 4 day layover in ithica and three days in tonawanda. We visited my then step daughter at cornell U where she was getting her phd in genetic sciences,we stayed in tonawanda to take the aluminium acrch and open array down to fit under the bridges (we had a silverton 40 convertible at the time). It was a trip of a lifetime (excluding the hopes of doing the loop some day)Have a great two more weeks!!!

Hard to believe that you have covered that much area in just two weeks. Obviously, you did not stop at Montebello (unless I missed reading that you did). But, you can't do St Anne de Bellevue to Ottawa in three and half hours by stopping somewhere for tea. I hate to hear that there are still problems at the wall in Ottawa. We were there in 2007 and ran into problems. American flagged boats were chaining to the bollards because the idiots were cutting them loose to float into the canal. We left in the middle of the night after a beer bottle hit our boat. Have not been back to Ottawa since. Out last trip was up to Merrickville and back to Clayton, NY. You just plain blew thru the area. We don't have any problem staying for a month in the St. Lawrence and Rideau area. Looks like you are in Kingston - great stop for good food, etc. Have a good time, will follow your blog.

Wish I would have known you were in Phoenix, we live near the lock. As a matter of fact you went passed our house on your way to lock 2. Great pics.

Wow, what a great trip! Thanks for sharing. Your route map shows a stop in Harbor Beach. Is that a done deal? No offense to any members here from HB, but it's not one of Michigan's most attractive ports... Bayfield or Grand Bend Ont., or Lexington Mich could be alternatives.

Do you know if your 360 has been renamed? Soon after I saw your post last week, a 360DA from Ontario called "Captains Choice" cruised by me at Put-In Bay...

Thanks. Would have been nice to hook up with fellow Searay folks. We did go through the Rideau in about 5 days. The highlight for us is the Trent. 10 days there. Stuck in Tobermory, ON for about 3 days due to a front passing through. HH is not a done deal. A lot depends on the winds.

Bresco, When are you going to be steaming through lake Erie? I know its probably weather dependant but would love to catch up to you!
