If you own a Westerbeke SafeCO generator and have not registered it with Westerbeke, or bought the boat used please read the following link.

I did not see the bulletin re the date stamp code, do you now the manufacture dates?

This affects generators built between Sept 2004 and July 2007.

Basically it encompasses all SafeCO units built to date.

never monday: Thank you for the post. Yikes, a violation of federal law if I use my generator :smt101 . I'll contact Westerbeke on Monday (I have the 5Kw unit). Hopefully the repair can be completed quickly.

I don't remember Safe CO units being available in '02. Are you sure it's fuel injected?

In looking at it it seems to be just for Gas not Diesel?
