Has anyone run into this? Don't think I need a new carb, maybe just a gasket kit? Generator runs fine, but notice it gets wet at base of carb when it is shut down.

Is it gas or water being throw onto the base due to the pumps shaft issue?

Definitely smells like gas.

I think I would just check rhe connection first and also see if something is loose on the carb.

The carb was easy to rebuild. Might just need new gaskets

Brought the carb home, filled fuel bowl. Watched for leak.

Found the fuel shut off solenoid was a little loose, draining bowl after shutdown past washer!! Couldn't see where it was coming from while in engine compartment.

Thanks for the advice!!
