West Michigan Surveyor/Mechanic recommendations?

Hey all,

We put an offer on a boat and I’m trying to get all of my ducks in a row if the deal goes through.

It looks like there’s a ton of you from West Michigan. We’ll be looking for a surveyor soon I hope. Any favorites or names to avoid that would be willing to travel to Grand Haven/Spring Lake? Feel free to PM if you’d like.

We’re hoping to kill two birds with one stone and find a surveyor who will do a compression test and basic look at things on the mechanical side as well. If we can’t check both boxes, how about a mechanic you’d recommend for a twin 8.2l merc equipped with Bravo 3 drives and DTS/Axius?

Dave Boersema, out of Spring Lake, did a good survey for me last summer. He did not do the mechanical, I had to have the marina do that.
