Ok here is another simple questions which im sure, well i hope ill get a good response on.

First i have added another picture but it is not the best but i believe i circled the "Shifter Assist Assembly". Its a bigger black plastic tube basically with a smaller tube that slides thru the bigger one.

My question is were in the world do i get one? I know i have seen a shifter kit before but when i look at them they dont look the same?

Is that what it is called? Maybe im searching for the wrong thing?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Something about "Spring Guide" seems to ring a bell. But, don't quote me on that... even though I actually put it in quotes! :smt001

Do you have a Merc dealer near you? Doesn't have to be a Sea Ray dealer.

Yeah, I guess I'm a 'brick and mortar' type guy. I like keeping my business local whenever possible - even it costs a few bucks more - as opposed to sending it to China, you know?

If you're stuck on the internet - try perfprotech.com - forgot to mention that one above.

If you do go to a local place, take a couple pics with you. The Merc shop will pull up diagrams - but it helps to have your own, rather than just trying to describe it.

Write down your engine serial number and bring it with you, as well.
