Wentworth By The Sea

Anybody ever stay in this marina. Its located in New Hapshire. I was thinking about taking a cruise up from Boston this summer. Any feedback would be appricated.

We stayed at Wentworth-By-The-Sea in 2004. It is a great place and a definite go back. We were headed there in '06, but a log mangled our props on the way up Cape Cod Bay and our plans changed.

They have nice restaurants and pool and a courtesy car to do shopping. The city of Portsmouth is fun, with restaurants, shopping and lots of choices for recreational activities.

Sorry to hear about you hitting a log in Cape Cod Bay. Those logs are out there. Do you remember if it was a tough navigation getting to Wentworth?

Thanks, it turned out to be a great trip anyway. We spent 2 days in Plymouth getting the props fixed and then went on to Hianis and Nantucket.

As I recall, getting into Wentworth is pretty easy. It is in Little Harbor which is the first cove as you enter Portsmouth Harbor. There might be a little surge as you come through the breakwaters but the channel is well marked. We opted to go outside Cape Ann and from there it is a straight shot 23.5 nm to Portsmouth. Along the way we saw porposes and whales and only one other pleasure boat.
