Wellfleet Harbor Local Knowledge

We are headed to Wellfleet this weekend for the first time with a slip reserved through the harbormaster. I was doing trip planning over the weekend and was surprised to see that the harbor has only 1-2 foot depths showing past the channel. Spoke to the harbormaster this morning and was told not to come in at low tide, so we will plan accordingly. Any other local knowledge anyone out there can share?

That's funny I am going up to Gloucester from Mystic River in Medford this weekend. When you get home can you send me an email and let me know what you thought of Wellfleet by boat? I am thinking of bgoing there next weekend with the kids. thanks wakeup19@comcast.net
