Well she said Yes...

Congrats to you..... Condolences to her.

If she is going to be putting up with your nonsense for the rest of your life, you need to pony up more boat bucks for a bigger ring!

In all seriousness, Good Luck!

They say Boating is alot like marriage...

"If you've never had experience with it, you won't believe anyone's description... and if you have, anything you might say is entirely inadequate."

Congrats! I was married and liked it so much I did it twice!

Me too. The second time for me is great. I hope you're as lucky as me to find that perfect Lady. Congrats Jason, you deserve the best.

I wish the best for both of you! And yes, nice ring!

Congratulations you two on ya'lls engagement. The Admiral said beautiful ring.

First off I would like to humbly say thank you for all of the well wishes. I do greatly appreciate the kind words and Jess does too. I got very lucky with my girl. She is originally from Alabama and I imported her to Ohio (and no we didn't meet on the computer :smt001). Her favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama and there is a scene in the movie where she gets to go into a jewelry store and pick out her ring. Well with a little work I was able to pull off the same thing. We were at the mall looking for clothes for me (which should have tipped her off because I NEVER shop for clothes). I wondered into the store and had already worked out a deal with one of the employees there. She of course followed me in I got down on one knee and told her to pick one. She of course was over whelmed and started to cry and after 30 mins of so of disbelief she came to and told me she didn't know where to begin. I originally picked out a ring for her and she loved it. She saw the price and refused (lucky guy I know) She stated she would rather use the money this summer on the boat and she didn't need such a ring. She gave me a budget of half what that ring was.

I found this one and it had meaning to us. My birth stone is Diamond. The out side would represent me surrounded by water. She knows that I am certifiable when it comes to water and boats and she just turns the other way and lets me go. The reason it took so long, well I am stubborn and I also wanted to finish my current course work be fore I got engaged or married. I also know that with out her I would not have been able to keep my 4.0 as I have been going through school the past 5 years. I am lucky and she takes great care of me. The other best part... she doesn't want a large wedding at all. She want's to spend it on the boat just the two of us and travel and enjoy life like I have been working so hard to do the past few years. So I won the lottery twice! She is good to me and I believe it is the right decision as I can't imagine not having her to come home too and she's always happy to see me walk through the door after almost 7 years. I figure at this point we would have split and gone our separate ways if we weren't really a good fit for one another. So again from the bottom of our hearts thank you for the well wishes, the kind words, and especially the laughs and I feel as though CSR is part of our life as we have had the pleasure of meeting so many of you in person and hope to continue meeting the many great people throughout the world on our journey through life. God bless and calm seas!

As some of you know I have been with the same girl for just shy of 7 years. She has put up with a lot of grief from me and still is excited to see me come home every day and takes very good care of me. I popped the question to her and she said yes. I am finishing my current degree in TWO WEEKS and we are headed to Cancun for 10 days at the end of the month. I am excited that she thinks I am a keeper. I don't talk to some of you as much as I have been very busy between school and work but I still wanted to share with all of the great people on here many of which I consider my friends.

Thanks for looking and god bless!

Congratulations! Nothing better than the support of a good woman... By the way, my better half and I will be in Cancun on the 3rd-6th. It is a pretty cool place to get away to.
