Well I guess we SE Florida guys are in port this weekend..

Don't expect any sympathy from us Northerner's.........:smt013

Bunch of sissy boys down there. Chuck said his bowrider can handle 8 foot seas in the Gulf Stream.

I had a forecast almost identical to that last summer leaving RI going to Block Island... Hazardous Seas Warning... 8 foot waves... wasn't that bad other than a closet door breaking, two drawers breaking, port stateroom door breaking, front mattress wedged between the door frame, several navigational electronics failing, bilge pump floats going off constantly from the free fall down the wave backsides, 3 kids and 2 dogs sea sick and my wife threatening a divorce... other than that it was perfect day on the water.

One of the few days the weather forecast was correct. Oops.

I have got to get down and try out this Gulfsteam thing... How bad can it be?

Note to self: Never leave the dock when you say "How bad can it be?"

fine with me. I am changing out the water heater in my boat this weekend (what a terrible job).

it better change by next weekend, we're heading up to Sailfish and the Boat Show.

Your water heater might be worse than mine. Mine is in the starboard stern corner of the bilge...thank God the PO put a new one in 6 months ago...

As far as the seas go...I guess if I really want to go out I could go "play in the ditch".:smt101

I wimp out on going outside when they say 8'~9'. When I was a younger man...testosterone dictated that I had to "Man Up" and go tear the boat up but "Tropical Breezes and French Wine and Cheeses" put that ambition at bay.

I'll probably go to the boat and find something to clean up or fix...shoudn't have to look far.

my water heater is under the main salon seating and there is no access from the salon. you have to take apart the wall in the second stateroom and crawl into a space where a child would would barely fit. it took 3 guys and 3 hours just to get it out. I'm hoping it takes less to get the new one back in.

here is a picture of my son taken from the salon, looking through the return air vent.

Hey Randy,

I'll be at the West Palm Boat show too. When are you going? I do a lot of work with Guy Harvey and a few other vendors there so will probably be there Friday and Saturday... I'm glad this year it's all in one location (on the water), instead of part at the Convention Center and part on the water. I was tempted to bring my boat up and stay up there for the weekend, but have too much going on to do so.. Also wanted to be up there for Sunfest the first weekend in May, as my company is a sponsor, but have my son's college graduation that weekend...can't believe it's been 4 years already!!

PM me or call me and maybe we can meet at the show.

You Win!!!

The rain gauge is reading 9" over the past couple of days. I just took the boat to lunch and there was over an inch in a glass I left out for an hour.

We need the rain. It's make up time and I hope it's hitting in the middle of the state for the Lake O crowd.
