If you have a 4000 # boat, plus a 1000 # trailer, plus 500 # of gas, batteries, and gear on the boat, then the Ridgeline is not sufficient to tow it more than a mile or two to the ramp. Yes, you could do it, but it would be bad for your truck and you. Getting the load moving will be OK, but controlling and stopping the load will be a bitch.

the truck is a loaner as my girlfriend works for Honda....but i agree with you it may be abit much and very unsafe...i will seek out a bigger truck....why cant honda make a full size...dam them...lol...

I would not think that towing that boat with a Honda anything would be safe. As was already said, getting it going is one thing, stopping is an entirely different thing - as well as pulling it out of the water up a steep ramp. Currently I pull my 260EC with a Ford Expedition, heavy duty axles, upgraded 4 wheel disc brakes and trailer brakes on 2 of the three trailer axles and it's not anywhere near enough truck to pull my boat. I'm seeing a Super Duty or maybe a 3500 454 Suburban in my near future.

...i will seek out a bigger truck....

Right choice. I feel much better now. Surely you have a buddy with a 3/4 ton or bigger truck that needs to prove his manlyhood? Or maybe find a girlfriend that works for Dodge/Ford/...um just kidding...
