I installed SeaDek on our Weekender 225 recently. It was very easy to install, and feels very durable. I highly recommend it to anyone that has been thinking about SeaDek. It transformed the look of the boat completely. The boat looks 10-15 years newer now and the SeaDek feels much more comfortable on the feet. I just ordered a template kit and plan on doing the entire interior as well in the next few months.

Bravo!! That looks great!

I did my 215 WE last year. I've had SeaDek on the top swim platform for about 5 years now but then decided to replace it all and have the stripes go bow to stern like the carpet. This isn't that great of a shot. I also added Infinity carpet last year (hence the SeaDek replacement ). Nice to see another fellow Sea Ray Weekender. Welcome!

That looks great! Nice work on the interior. I'm also thinking about installing SeaDek on the bow deck where the textured walking area is. I wonder how that would look.

Thanks. I really wish I had the 225 with the integrated swim platform & wash down station. I tried to find a salvaged 225, but found nothing. So I went to swimplatforms.com

As far as SD on the bow, IMO I think it would take away from the lines . Although, it does tend to get slippery if you don't have a windlass like me, when anchoring or tossing out fenders.

I actually purchased extra pieces for the gunnel or sides for the nonskid where you could enter boat. Setting it on there, it seemed to be too much. Again, kind of taking away the lines of the boat.....but that's just my opinion.

My 2019 list is a new steering wheel, NMEA 2000 backbone and Smartcraft attachment to the Garmin as well as a Fusion NMEA 2000 head unit.

I'm always tinkering.

BTW - don't bust that silly little door. I tripped trying to get under the cover while retrieving my sun glasses after I buttoned it up, and snapped it in half. $400

Good job to both! Nice that you kept the dark lines matched up. Not always easy when templating. I love the SeaDek.

Curious on the Infinity teak style carpet. OllieC, did you do the install yourself ? Searay just made this an option on the 190SPX but on everyone I've seen pictures of, the black lines don't line up perfectly. Yours however, looks perfect.

May I ask where you ordered yours from. Did they have your templates in stock?

Looks very nice. You joined CSR in 2009 and just now make you first post?

Yes. I bought it from a member on here (Dave). I sent in my older carpet for him to use as a template. He had me masking tape the border lines between the sections so he could line them up properly. When finished, I had to add the snaps myself, which also aids in lining everything up.

I love it. Although it can get a little warm in direct sunlight, it dries extremely fast. You can drop a jar of mustard on it and it will wipe right up.

You know, I never noticed that when we got our 2019 190 SPX. Novelty of a new boat...LOL. So, I reviewed the pic I posted here showing the snap in SeaDek. And you were right. Ugh. For what it cost, yada, yada. So I had to go out in the garage and take off the cover, climb in and look a little closer. The interior deck and the swim platform all line up perfectly...even the steps. It was the top of the deck hatch that was the problem.

Ah-ha! Whoever snapped on that last piece put it on backwards. I turned it around and now all the black lines line up perfectly.

I first saw it on a boat listed online, then on yours. They need to flip this one around to. Hahaha I wish everything in life was this simple to correct.

The SeaDek snap in looks nice. If I ever have to redo my lower swim platform, I may go that rout next time so I can remove it during winter storage.

I am getting a quote from them the person on the phone told me that the Faux Teak is applied with a 3M adhesive backing but should last at least 10/15 years in a covered slip.

The stick-on is 1/4" thick, and its quite soft on the feet. The snap-in has an extra backing on it, making the total thickness about 1/2". It's actually soft and "squishy", and feels more like walking in your living room with a heavy foam pad under the carpet. Also, the snaps are not the "traditional" type you see on usual snap-in carpet, or canvas, they are quite heavy duty, more of an industrial version.
