Weather Updates East Coast??

Well went to the marina today and the boat is in a pile of other boats washed up against the land. All the docks were destroyed. Took me 30 minutes to find it and make my way to it. It is truly a depressing site. When going out into the raritan bay I have to go under the Morgan rail bridge for nj transit. There were boats piled onto the bridge. I have pics but can't post as I still have no power or anything at my house. Just a depressing day. I'll try to gets pics up.

View attachment 27796Jim, its just so depressing at the marina. I feel so bad for these owners . Thanks to all who had their fingers crossed for us. This is Mirage. Talk about lucky ? My buddies silverton came off her stands and came real close. He' sitting on his rudders,,
Hi Havana Shamrock, I have followed this thread and like all just find it hard to digest the destruction. Hearing your boat made it, along with other members boats mentioned herein, makes for a very good start to the recovery phase of this situation. Our thoughts and prayers are still offered for a safe recovery to and for all concerned.

I'll post pictures of our Marine in seaford. Truly a sad site..

Sorry to hear that SpikeitAudi. Hang in there.

Hay Spikeitaudi, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Just as I was typing about member's boats making it through and post it, I return to the thread and read your post. Again I'mso sorry for your loss.

Alvin, I think a lot of us are in the Same Boat!! I hope the Damage isn't that bad and your deductible isn't that High!! The good thing is Hopefully you and your Family are safe!!

I'm sick after seeing all of them pics, :wow:

Take care my creepy internet friends and stay SAFE. :smt001

Well,
I will read all of this later...Internet and cell phones not working well with the power out and all.
(tired of listening to my home generator)

My boat WAS on the hard but, the surge made all of the boats go for an unauthorized ride!
Waiting for the insurance company .... Lets just say I need a crane first.
It might be ok or not we will see.

Hope everyone is safe.

Mark.

Wow, sorry to hear about it Mark.

Very sad to see all of the destruction. maybe Sea Ray will find a way to put all of those people being laid off to work rebuilding these boats.

All I can say is you guys are all my heroes on the east coast. What you've been through is just unimaginable for me. For our CSR friends who have lost their boats, have the unenviable position of dealing with insurance companies and for those have found their Sea Rays are good...my hat is off to you.

Our thoughts continue to be with you....

Mark, Janet and family...

Here are some pics of the boat (in white shrink wrap) and some pics of my marina and 2 others close by. Bare with me as I m doing this all from my iPhone 5.

Alvin, Mark , and the others I' m hoping you come out of this ok it's definately a bad scene,. I really want to thank my buddies for thinking about me, my family and my property. ( Alex, Ron, Johnathan, etc ) and all the members here. We all know they are just blobs of fiberglass but they are our pride and joys!!!! The (things) we take our family's on to create memories. As Russ said here" they are inadamate objects that emit emotions" but we love them. These objects are our second homes our vacation spots our family's grow up on these objects, so its no wonder that we get attached to them. Our first concern as people are family, friends, then our possesions. I'm so glad as a person who has seen over 20 yrs of destruction and mayhem to family's that I am only concerned about my BOAT at this minute and nothing worse. Good luck to you guys and getting your lives back to normal. Thanks to our buddies all over this country and abroad who read and follow this site . And are genuinely concerned about people in need , not just us but all. Boaters are truly family people.

Joe, Glad to hear all is good!

OMG, my husband and I are so sorry to see all these awful pics of all these beloved boats Such terrible devastation and lives lost. Be safe everyone up there, we do hope everyone comes through all this with as little damage as possible, especially to life and limb.

Sorry for everyones lose. One thing I noticed from some of the pictures - it doesn't seem to be very common to chain stands together up there. Of course that wouldn't have helped with all the boats that floated off.

What a mess.

After reading comments, updates and seeing the pictures, what you all are going through is unimaginable to those of us who have not faced this type of destruction. The pictures that have been posted are mind boggling. The priority of loved ones and then loved boats is clear and well stated. We are all blessed that no CSR lives were lost, but pray for those who did suffer loss of life.

All effected by this tragedy are in our thoughts and prayers. I wish I could be there to help - but know we are all with you in thought and prayer.

Dave and Keri
