We got Rusty & Air O'Nautical..... Now another running North... I'll try and post picts and info but I'm single handing from Stuart Florida to Annapolis.

I left early this am and I'm going to pass Coca Village soon.

I'm running mostly at 7kts with some running her on plane.... Trying to do 100 +/- miles a day when I'm on the ICW.

Also, I'm going to try this anchoring off thing too....

Have a fun & SAFE trip. Do you have AIS so we can track ya.

This time don't break the lock in Norfolk.

100 miles a day is a good benchmark when going slow. Enjoy the trip and keep us posted.

Safe travels.

Watch out for the green head flies in GA, if you go 7kts through there, they'll eat you alive.

Just a quick note to tell you I decided to anchor off tonight, my first night ever..... I'm at Titusville ... I thought I would be alone but there are five boats here. -
Nice night...should be pretty calm and a bit of southern breeze.

Hopefully the anchor will hold.....

I'm exactly 100 Naut. Miles from the start today - I think I left at 7:30am

I think it was a 10.5 hr run so I ave. just a bit over 9.5 kts

The boat had some trouble getting up on plane so I might have to stop somewhere before I go outside. I think I'll try and make St. Augustine tomorrow.

Have a good night......

Saw dolphin in my wake but I took a picture of this....

And this is a boat / car

Cool, I get to do this one too (vicariously)...

Take your time and enjoy the peace...

Safe travels,

Peace? he's going on the inside through GA, there's no peace in going on the inside through GA.

Let me know of you are on the ICW between Savannah and Charleston and I'll give you an escort.

I will tell you, right now, the deer flies and horse flies are crazy. We were going to anchor off Daufuskie Island this past weekend, and at one point we had at least 30 horse flies under the canvas. FYI a horse fly bite will draw blood, and a lot of it. We decided to head back to the marina. 8 knots is a perfect speed to allow every horse fly to join you. Good luck!

Good morning all....

Up and getting ready to get underway...

I'm not sure if I'll make St. Augustine today but that's the plan.... If I get to a marina, I might try Comache Cove.

BTW - I have no plans to run the ICW in GA.... I'll go out St. Augustine or out Fernandina poss to Hilton Head or Further North .

The trouble spooling up the turbos concerns me. I had the bottom cleaned two days before I left and primary and secondary fuel filters replaced the day before.

I checked the oil last night when she cooled down a bit and it was right at the marks, so I don't seem to be burning much.

I saw one deer fly yesterday and swatted it away.

Careful, if you stay in the area. That fly will be back with his family and friends to take revenge. Good luck and safe travels. I hope it's something simple.

That's a trip I would love to make someday. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Thanks for all the words of support.... It really means alot....

Guys, I passed St Augustine and I'm continuing on....

Making good time, Ave about 10kts/hr

So, I don't know where I'll anchor off tonight .....Might be in the middle of nowhere if that's where I make before sundown. If I internet, I'll report my position.

I'm enjoying reading about your journey. Please keep posting and add a photo or three as you go.

Calm seas, fair winds and blue skies for you!

I am at mile marker 539 if you are in the ditch at that point.

Also the entry to Harbor Yacht Basin is a narrow shallow dredged channel. Stay in between the markers. It will still only be about 4 ft at low tide.
