But why close the thread? A word from Jim on policy and deleting the offensive post would have saved the thread.

Just my opinion and not saying Jim did anything wrong. We do need to uphold the integrity of the site for family viewing.

Wouldn't it be a basic courtesy to members to explain locked or removed threads? It would put an end to speculation and misinformation. Earlier this week Jim took down a thread, but let the board know why. This was much appreciated.

Sometimes in an attempt to make people laugh we go to far unknowingly. I do not know what occurred but it was a popular thread followed by many people and in the future I hope for, at least a basic notice.
