what is the best type of wax to use on the areas people walk on, or is it easier to use the same stuff i use for the hull?(specifically the bow)

I used Woody Wax this year on the bow and swim platform. I am interested in the Starbrite non-skid as more and more people seem to be getting good results. My kids jump off the bow alot, so I do not want it to become slippery after they get it wet. The Woody Wax seems to do a good job at this. But the You Tube video is the best part.

It may depend on the wax you use on the hull as to whether it is suitable for non-skid. I use Meguiar's Flagship on everythig including the non skid.

I use Starbrite Non-Skid Deck Cleaner with PTEF -- the stuff is amazing.

I want to give this a try next week on the bow non-skin, will the runoff mess up the polish on the hull?

...will the runoff mess up the polish on the hull?

Nope...no ill affects whatsoever. This stuff is great. Just follow the directions exactly and it will be clean like you've never seen.

Here's how I apply it. 1) Wet the entire area to be cleaned 2) Starting at the very tip of the bow I pour some Starbrite straight from the bottle onto a large section of the non-skid and use a medium bristle brush on a pole to spread it around - no scrub, just spread 3) Wait about 5 minutes to attack the dirt 4) After about 5 minutes I lightly scrub the non-skid with the brush again 5) Spray off the Starbrite and continue with another section.

I tried a shortcut once by diluting some Starbrite in a bucket of water and scrubbing -- didn't work. Just wasted some of the cleaner is all.

One word of caution -- it's really slippery during the application so watch your footing. It's fine when it dries and even when it gets wet later but I almost slid off my bow the last time I was applying it.
