My 2003 280 has a plastic box that the shower and AC condesate drain in to before the bilges in the box pump it out. The box is under the step at the cabin enterance. There is always about 1/4" of water under the box. The water level in the box is higher then the water level under it. I cannot detect any water dripping from the AC condensate hose or the shower drain hose. I have removed the box lid and cleaned everything. it all looks good.

Do I have a clogged drain under the bilge box? is there another bilge pump under the box? Any help getting rid of this standing water would be appreciated.

I noticed a very small amount of water under the sump box on our boat. Turns out it was due to a small crack in the line fitting to the sump box. MM replaced the box (warranty). Check you lines/fittings coming in/out by running water from the shower, sink and AC into the sump box and watch for any leaks.

The primary bilge pump is in the box. It is supposed to run when it fills up from either the AC condensate water or when you take a shower. The one outside the box is an emergency pump. You need to take the clear plastic cover off the box to get to the primary pump that is inside. It may be just be clogged but until you look at it you won't know. If the box is full, the pump is not running and the box is overflowing.

Just a comment ............

Inspect the drain hose between the A/C tray and the box with the water/shower pump in it. I found the hose was routed poorly at the factory and the A/C condensation tray was overflowing water into the bilge.
